Patentability Search/Prior Art Search
A patentability or a prior art search for an invention provides
the inventors/patent attorneys with insights into existing technologies
that seem similar or related to the invention. The search is performed
based on specific aspects that the invention is attempting to
claim rights to. Our work product provides a list of references
(patent and non-patent) that helps patent attorneys in assessing
the patentability of the invention.
Patentability searches typically include U.S. and international
patents, published patent applications, and non-patent literature.
The services are provided by experienced and trained engineers
specially trained in performing patent searches on free and paid
databases such as Delphion and Micropat. They personally analyze
the technology at issue, read the patent references, and conclude
what patents or published applications are most relevant to your
concerns.
We provide the output which complies with USPTO standards; we
also prepare reports in the Accelerated Patent Examination format.
Freedom to Operate/Product Clearance Search
A freedom to operate search provides an extensive review of patent
literature so as to identify obstacles and barriers to entry of
a product in a patent jurisdiction. The search is performed based
on specific aspects of a product / technology, in the patent jurisdiction.
The claims of relevant patents (identified in the search) are
studied in light of the specific aspects of the product / technology.
Structure/Sequence Search
We have expertise for conducting structure searches or other gene
sequence searches; we have a team of experts trained in using
STN and other databases such as Dialog for conducting structure
and sequence searches.
Japanese Patent Search
We have teams that specializing in searching Chinese and Japanese
patents, over a period of time; we have come up with methodologies
to search patent literature of specific countries using advanced
patent databases and also by using machine translations.
State of the Art Search/Landscape Search
State of the art searches are useful if a company
is considering entry into a particular domain of art. State of
the art search results can provide a basis for making critical
market decisions. These results can also be used as a navigation
framework for product and process design. The search provides
a landscape of patent and non-patent literature in a particular
technology area and is performed at a broader level encompassing
a specific type of technology.
Technology Environment Analysis (Competitive Intelligence)
TT Consultants leverages techniques
such as concept clustering and text analytics to quantify patent
portfolios relative to activity in the marketplace. The tools
and techniques present a set of actionable intelligence by illustrating
patent activity in the market relative to a corporation's patent
portfolio and R&D activities. Patents are "clustered"
on the basis of similarities derived from predetermined patent
metrics. Our specialized analysis software coupled with our many
years of experience in the IP space allows us to provide you with
the highest quality results available.
